Hi,

Can anyone help me with this problem?

I recently migrated my users from Novell Groupwise to E2k on a temp server. Then on another server I moved the mailboxes to a second E2k server. Everything went fine. Now the only problem I am having is that when I add a new employee to AD, the employee gets added but there are no e-mail address added. I have the "create mailbox" check box checked. I can add the e-mail address manually but when the user logs into the domain, and tries to connect to the E2k server, the E2k server does not find the user in the address list.

Thanks for your help.

any ideas on where to try next if this doesnt work ?

Thanks

Have you tried it yet? Because until you send them an email or they log into Outlook the email addy won't show up.

Yup, done that, their mailbox shows on ESM with one mail, they can log on to the network and access network resources, but cannot connect outlook to exchange as it is still not showing in GAL, outlook not finding the name.

I have a suspicion that somehow it could be DNS related, as we had to redo the dns recently, could it be relevant ?

Thanks

Paul

I have this problem too... only i have never used novell, the problem just came one day... :O solutions please.. been every wahre in the exchange admin conosle.

Try these and inform us if it worked:

Use Exchange System Manager - Organization Name - Reciptients - Reciptient Update Services

Right Click each DC - Rebuild and Update now

You might want to configure a 2nd DC as an additional GC and add it in RUS

Check also the ff:

DNS would definitely be relevant, I'd check that first.
