The full message is:No domain server was available to validate your password. You may not be able to gain access to some network resources.
This happens sporadically. This always happens with a windows 98 client trying to logon onto a Windows 2000 DC.
I have removed the computer accounts and user accounts and sometimes it works other times it doesn't.

YEs, we are running WINS. We even ried running Netbios just in case.

ok, so check your WINS database and make sure your PDC emulator is registered with the [1ch] record. Also, make sure the PDC emulator has the correct WINS addresses in it's own IP properties, then restart Netlogon.
