NO domain server available to validate logon

We are getting this intermittant error message when our Win98 systems try to logon to our Windows NT4.0 domain. The systems have logged on and all network operations work OK. It is just annoying to get the error message. As stated it is very intermittant. We have stopped master browser on the Win98 systems and LMbroadcasts. WINS is up an running and the 98 systems are registered regardless of the error message. Any ideas?
