Hello,

we have the Networker 6.14 working on W2K.

Since the Update to Networker 6.14 we got no Bootstrap information per notification.

I tried with marking all possibilities in "event" and "priority" in hope this had changed. But no result, I got all messages but no bootstrap.

When I monitor the savegroup, I see that Legato wrote the Bootstrap to tape. This works, but no mail.

I would send the bootstrap via mail. I call blat as following: blat.exe - -s "Hallo bootstrap" -to mailuser@domain.com
This works for everything, but not for the bootstrap.

Anyone knows there the problem is?

Thanks in advance.

I am sure that the conditions have not changed - the action shall be triggered
whenever the combination of
- Event : savegroup
- Priority : critical
will become true.

Try to execute another command and see whether this is executed. If yes, "blat"
seems to be the error.

I tried it also with nsrlog (writting in a file), also no result. So the problem is not the blat.

I selected the conditions as described of 605.

Any more ideas?

It works fine with my computer. I can just think of 3 possibilities:

- The filename cannot be found.
Check your search path and/or specify the pathname in the action attribute as well.
- The file does not exist in the specified directory any longer.
- Environment variables overrule the standard settings.

I run into a similar problem. I think there is a problem with passing standard output between Networker and Blat. So, I found a workaround - saving bootstrap to a text file first and sending it with smtpmail.exe that comes with Networker. I can send you my .bat file if you wish.

This is in fact a good point, especially if you want to use STDOUT foe something else - you must save the contents first. However, it should not be needed if you only run one command and not a batch/script file.

I have explicitely tested with NW 6.1.4/nsrlog and could not find any problem.

I implemented a short batch which extract the bootstrap with mminfo into a file and send this with blat to my email.

This batch run time depending in the windows scheduler.

This work fine...
