Hmm, NM-8AM is an 8-port Analog Modem network module (fills an NM slot on the router, so on the 2600 it would be the big slot to the left.)

Wic-2AM is a 2-port Analog modem WAN Interface card, (so it goes to the 2 smaller WIC slots on the right of the 2600)

As far as functionality, I believe it's the same thing, except for the NM has higher density, thus support 8 to 16 analog modems.

I found that in the Digital Calls the NM-8AM is not supporting V.90 and V.91 protocols while WIC-2AM is supporting it.

Mohamed,

How are you going to use the modules? If you're going to use it for a low density NAS, then it doesn't matter what the difference between the modules are - you'll never get better than v.34 unless you dialup to a site with digital facilities.
