NIU2 blocked

I hav a BC11Sp15 system, and have problem while connecting to the system through the modem ...
after finishing connection to the system through the modem,the NIU2 becomes blocked and I will not be able to access the system again till I reset the LPU..
NIU2 is R10A...
did any one face the same problem
Any comments

are you sure it is 'blocked'?

try to fix the baudrate of the port you are logging on to:
IOIFC:IODEV=SYSTERMINAL,BAUDR=38400;
Also be ware that only the FIRST port of the NIU contains all lines neccessary for hardware handshaking...

Don`t reset LPU, if you can try to pull out NIU from backplane for couple of seconds, and put it back.
You should be able to login (something like RFBOI but without physical connection).
I have encountered something similar in various BCs, and even in MX-TSW. I don`t know what`s causing it, but for me pulling out solves the problem.

one know 'blocking cause' is the Ethernet port on the NIU. It can't cope with to much traffic (broadcasts,etc...). The best solution we have at this moment is to put the NIU behind a router and only allow traffic that is really meant for the NIU.

In some of my NIU blocking cases, I don`t even have Ethernet port active, or if it is programmed, it doesn`t have physical connection to network.
Yesterday, I`ve got a call from customer reporting no CIL output. Connection attempt via V.24 wasn`t posible until I did my pull out/put in procedure. After that everything works OK.

Whorsdaddy, yes the port is blocked whe I try IODDP;...
Anyway I will try your advice.

The Ethernent port is not activated.

Mixing applications (GICI + CIL) is also known for blocking...

The only application on the NIU is the CIL..NO DNA at all!!!
I changed the baud rate using IOIFC, but no success, the same problem is still there!!!
I'am sure it is not a hrdware problem, because I have multi MD110 networking systems, and the problem is at most of the systems.
