Everybody, The PABX is Avaya double S8700. In ASA, the CDR-Link status is "up"?but the NICECLS frequently cannot receipt signal from PABX. We only use channel to query all the calls.Someone haven this problem?
Some exists definite solution for these problems? \

Thanks

In PBX the fee is use CDR-link primary, the NICECLS is use CDR-link Secondary. Recently, I found that when the CDR-link primary's status become "down", this transformation
will affect NICECLS get data from PBX, but the CDR-link Secondary's status is "up" in PBX.

I've not heard of the Primary taking the Secondary CDR link down or affecting it in any way. Is your CDR output on the NICE CDR Link set to "unformated"?

You could also swap the CDR outputs (Change NICE to Primary and Call Accounting to Secondary.., it is pretty painless. Are you using a dedicated CLAN for all of your CDR operations?

If you are only doing searches on channel then why do you need the link? I suspect NICE is on secondary as call accounting is probably more important to customer???

I also have some vague recollection (from a few years ago so this may have since changed) that the secondary port is a low priority process in the switch so when the pabx becomes busy it stops or buffers the information. Check this out to see if it's true.

hi

you need an ethernet pad to rs232 convertor speak to the avaya engineers about this convertor

I want to know whether when the PBX became very busy it will effect the CDR-Link's work status or let CDR-Link stop convection information to NICECLS. To my observation, the the NICECLS cannot receipt signal from PBX when the traffic became very large.

If you are over-utilizing the CLAN that you are using for NICE CDR, then yes.

What platform are you running?
How many CLAN boards do you have?
Are you using IP Phones?
Is your SAT connection going through the CLAN?
What other IP-Services are you running?

Until you can answer these questions, we can't help much.

The platform for NICE is CLS 8.9, PBX is CM3.0
The number of CLAN is two, one for Avaya fee,one for Nice CDR. In other words, NICE CDR has a CLAN of its own.
NO,I haven't IP Phone.
SAT connection not going through the CLAN.
In addition? The PBX fee use IP-Services. And it has one CLAN of its own, too.

Thanks all.

What type of LAN/Serial converter box are you using? Have you tried swapping ports on it? Ours is a 4-port so we have that luxury. Have you verified the settings on the converter? Are you sending CDR over "unformatted"?

The connection between PBX to NICE via TCP/IP. We use Cisco switch. Is the LAN/Serial converter box integrant?
The CDR-Link over "unformatted".

Thanks
