How do I instruct my system to mount NFS filesystem within my directory structure during bootup?

if you wish to use "root over NFS" check this out
If all you are after is to mount some shares, you can use the following in /etc/fstab:

192.168.0.1:/exported_share /share nfs defaults 1 1

The exported share is called "exported_share" on the machine 192.168.0.1 and the local mount point is called "/share" AV
