NexVortex Proxy? 2

Sorry if this would present as a dumb question as I'm a noob as far as Session Manager is concerned. We're trying to get a SIP trunk up and running for NexVortex to an SM 6.1, pretty simple enough but they are requiring some proxy credential settings that I have no idea so far where to configure in SM. Below are the requirements (deliberately blanked out the username and password):

ProxyIPAddress=px1.nexvortex.com
ProxyPort=5060
Realm=nexvortex.com

Authentication Username=
Authentication Password=

Session Manager does not support Digest Authentication. A Session Boarder Controller will be required to do the Digest Authentication.

That's pretty new for me though as I have yet to install an SBC, let alone a working SM. Thanks for the reply!

I just spoke to an Avaya support engineer and he told me that SM supports digest authentication(??). Although I do see some digest authentication on some SIP messages, it's between the ASM and ACM which is already built-in for the two (correct me if I'm wrong on this). This may be what the engineer meant about digest authentication for SM, could someone confirm?

nexVortex can do IP authentication for your traffic if you cannot get digest authentication working. Just submit a request to their support department saying that your digest auth is not working and request IP screening (assuming your public IP is static).

Yes it's a static public IP, we might just be doing that as we really can't find anything at Session Manager to set those digest auths and we're not getting anything useful from Avaya. Thanks a lot!
