newspaper columns ?

Is it possible to produce newspaper style columns in a reporting services report like below ?

Field1 Field2 Field3 Field1 Field2 Field3 Field1 Field2 ...
xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx ...

Are you trying to repeat data or get new data when the next iteration of the field comes around?

A while ago, I did a Matrix, inserted rectangles in the Matrix data row and then stuck a group of fields in each rectangle. You could try something like that.

Hmm. I can't find which report I did something similar to that in. Honestly, it might have been when I was working with Crystal...

My thought is to try it with a Table on the outside, get your groupings together, merge your details row into one cell and stick a rectangle in it. Then copy your fields in it as necessary. If table doesn't work, try a Matrix.

I was looking to do the same sort of multi-column thing; briefly played around with the Columns property of the report Body. I never actually tested it though since what I really wanted was accomplished using multiple Matrix controls anyhow. This property might work for you.
