Newbie Question/Issue?

I've created a group of images running down the left hand column of a page simulating a left nav bar. I have pop-up menus for each image and this works well with no problem. Here's the issue. I have a jump menu in the center of 1 of the pages and when I mouse over the left hand image to show the popup - the jump menu stays on top of the graphic popup menu. It seems as though the jump menu is on a top layer above the popup .... but I don't see anywhere to change the layers. Also.. all other object on that screen stay below the pop-up menu.. only this jump menu stays above...
What's a Newbie to do ????

Any help would be appreciated.

dont overlay dropdown/jump menus with layers, it doesnt work. I cant remember or find the url but take it from me its a no no.
