Hi,
Followed all the default install options for 9i on RedHat AS3. As a linux virgin would someone be so kind as to tell me how to start the Oracle enterprise manager ? All the normal Oracle programs that you would expect to see in the windows world after an install are not there. Have looked through the doc's but to no avail. Any suggestions greatly appreciated !

Steve.

I run 8.1.7 on Red Hat 8.0

To run on linux console this is what I have to do:

1. Run 'startx'
2. Open a terminal session
3. go to /app/oracle/product/8.1.7/bin directory
4. run 'oemapp dbastudio'

Thank you William ! Am getting the hang of this now. All our programs are really just run out of terminal. Did you create any shortcut or links to them on the desktop ?

Best Regards, Steve.

No, I didn't. I use OEM and all the other Oracle utilites from a Windows XP machine. On occasion, I use them from Linux but not that often.

Thanks,
