Newbie help on CMC

I need all of your expertise on this matter. Just today I haven't been able to log on to my Citrix Management Console. It gives me the error, "The Data Store for this farm is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

I really have no idea what to do, and I'm starting to freak out. Can any one of you with your infinite wisdom help me out? If I have to recreate a whole new file, how would do that?

Don't freak out. First, from the command prompt at the server, run this utility: DSCHECK Let us know what the results are.

I got a "Unable to initialize Data Store. Communication Server must have a direct communication to the data store. Application terminated. Result 0x80060016

Run this utility at the command prompt DSMAINT Let us know what the result is.

Also run DSCHECK again.

On the Citrix server is the "Independant Management Architecture" Service running.

Seriously, it's good to that people are willing to help. Any of your suggestions is appreciated. After running a couple of your suggestions and doing a little digging around, I found out that the data store is kept in SQL. The IMA is only on one citrix server, but it can't run. Tried to force it, but it doesn't wanna run. Also the MSSQLSERVICE service is not running either. Funny thing is the service that maybe pertains to the SQL Server and Data store is pointing to an executable on another server. (does this make any sense?) Obviously novice at this situation, but your help is definitely appreciated!

OK you have to have the SQL running before the IMA service will run.

IMA has to be on all citrix servers.
