Hi guys,
I'm new to exchange so don't laugh at my juvenile questions!

I was wondering if its ok to empty out the administrator email account? mine is rather large and I wasn't sure what kind of maintenance is needed.
thanks!

how about archiving? it's a simple way and you don't loose anything.

it looks as if all of it is spam anyway....
how doyou set up archiving?

oh. how about a spamfilter? We use Mailsweeper and only a few spams per day escape this system.
Of course you don't need to archive spams ;-)
Which client do you use?

We use GFI mail essentials 9.0
I think my users expect too much out of our spam filter.....

You can actually delete the administrator mailbox. If you do that you can then assign the "administrator@yourdomain.tld" as an additional SMTP alias to your own mailbox. Then just set up some rules in your outlook client to manage the email coming in for administrator.
