Hi,

Just noticed that sometimes when I open a new window in Internet Explorer and sometime other apps too, that when it opens it only opens a quarter of the proper size so you have to click on the maximise to open the window up to its proper size.
Someone said to me that they thought it was a way of Windows conserving memory as it was running low ?

Is that correct or is there another explanation for this ?

The size of the window an application opens in is controled by the size of the window the last time the application closed.

It is not based on conserving memory as memory usage is the same no matter the size of the window.

hello Sebjekins

If you are getting this problem after you have opened Internet explorer and try to open another web page, i have found that windows update can cause your windows to open smaller. To check this goto Start/windows Update, If windows update opens small stretch the size of the window top bottom and sides, dont use the + - button. Close update and reopen it and see if it is full screen, if it is you should be ok now.
