Hi. I am in the process of creating my companies intranet and need some advise about 'defining the site'. The web server for the intranet is located under GSHWEB/GSHINTRANET. I have defined my remote site as that (GSHWEB/GSHINTRANET) and have folders located under the remote site (PAGES, IMAGES, ETC). Where would you advise me to put my local site? If I put it on the network, should it also be under GSHWEB/GSHINTRANET (in a folder called TEST?) to utilize the web server...or should it be in a completely different location (and not have a web server)? Any advise would be very very appreciated!!

hi lhorton,

I apologize for the delay in responding. Until now I did not have a free moment to study your question.

A clarifying question.
Where you have the intranet under /gshintranet/ and it seems the necessary images, etc also under that directory. Is what you are developing also for the Intranet?

I have not run a webserver. But if it is for the Intranet and you are concerned about security. I believe you can secure areas of the server as necessary. I know through UD4 you can allow access to logged in individuals who are at a certain user level.

My guess (a non-webserver-dude) would be to put the files under a main directory for the purpose. Like you would for a website.
