New to Meridian 1 opt 51 platform 1

We are doing sit prep for an install for a new opt61 succesion 3.0 and would like to any info on things to look for in the installation and more info on these switches. I come from the sl100 platform so the opt 61 is a new animal for us. This will be a remote off of my sl100, any info wopuld be helpful.

if you've got a switch in place, their are ways to download the info (sets) from one to the other.. otherwise it's a different world then the dms.. loads for one thing, tn's instead of lens, prt not post etc... once you print a tnb of a set, the digital sets don't look that much different. one man hour per set will do most installs, wire in place...imo

Thanks for the info.. Am sure as the install goes along will have more ?'s. We are recieving training but am trying to get a jump start on info and knowledge before switch goes hot.

not a problem, i've installed for almost 30 years, so i can get you through most of it.. what's the status of the install.. still on the pallet? or powered and responding to a carriage return

actually it is in manufacturing right now. Supposed to be installed and turned over to us by the end of Sept. I just do not know the meridian world and am trying to get familiar enough with the equip before I go to training. Is better to have a little knowledge before school so it will be some what useful.

How much different will a commercial load be from a gov't load for these meridian's.. We have different routing and phone info.

the only diff i have seen is the autovon prompts in the gov load.. but i only worked on a couple with gov software..

We have all been there John ... The frustrating part is when you are in a translations course and 1/2 of the students have never logged on... Then you are like what R U doing here then.. switch 101 was last week. This happened in my sl-100 trans class had 5 out of 9 students that wanted to see the switch because they had know idea hwat one is... then also they are frustrated all week.

try a class with a sales person, or worse an engineer who was leaning on the mail and ask where i mounted it.. a mermail don't mount
