I know some hosting companies let you use their ssl certificate through a domain. Some of them give you the convinience of using a subdomain i.e.
while others just give you a directory access:
In both cases, the URLs are pointing to the same web account. In other words you don't have to FTP your files to a seperate places.
Let's say I have many web sites on my IIS and I want to do the same thing. Let's say I already purchased a domain just for this purpose (let's call it my-ssl-site.us)
1) For the first subdomain example above, do I need a wildcard certificate for my-ssl-site.us?
2) For either case, how can I setup the directory so that it will be associated with the root of one of the webs? i.e. my-ssl-site.us/web1 = web1.com OR web1.my-ssl-site.us = web1.com
Thank you.
