New to FreebSD, please help

Hi, I have FreeBSD server that I inherited, I just know the login information, I am new to it, can you point me the direction how to manager the server? It is currently connected to the network and without any monitor console.

Thanks Mbrooks, how do I actually check the version of the os and how can I find out if I need any updates anything like that? In general, how do I get familiar with the OS, I am login now.
