Hello All:
I am a freshman in college with asperations of becoming a system administrator when I graduate. I have a good 4 working PCs at home that i have available for testing and would like to create my own windows 2003 server environment including exchange. Really i'd like to learn exchange most. I was hoping any of you could point me in the right direction as far as books go or perhaps offer me some advice as to the step by step installation and configuration of exchange. Thanks

First thing you need to understand is Active Directory. Exchange is nothing without that underneath it. is a book by someone who knows what she's talking about.

As for the Exchange side of things you should see: which is written in a decent style by someone who now writes the Exchange help for Microsoft.

If you're going to learn Exchange, learn 2007. Jim McBee, Henrick Walther, and Tony Redmond, all Exchange MVPs, have written books on it.
