New to CA10, want to report off MS Analysis Serv (OLAP)

New to CA10, want to report off MS Analysis Serv (OLAP), vbut cannot even connect to my cude. My options are:

IBM DB2 Olap server
Hyperion ESSBASE
Holos HDC Cube
MS OLE DB Provider for OLAP services
MS OLE DB Provider for OLAP services 8.0

We run with SQL Server 2000, and use its analysis services for our new and still yet very basic cube.

I can however not connect to it. I have setup a normal ODBC Connection to the database, no luck, any ideas?

I only have OLAP-XI running, but it's pretty similar to Crystal Analysis 10.

You should be using "MS OLE DB Provider for OLAP services 8.0" same as the prompt you get from CR-XI when you use the OLAP Cube Report Wizard.

It should then offer you SERVER OPTIONS for -

OLAP Server
Local Cube (*.cub file)
HHTP Cube

If it's not offering you those options, perhaps your Local MS-SQL 2000 server tools need a service pack. I seem to recall that you needed a service pack on SQL 2000 Analysis Services before it would work with OLAP Intelligence XI.

You may need to unistall/reinstall CA-10 after the SQL service pack.
