New Shortcut on Desktop Script or GPO

Hello Again
I have been asked to replace a desktop icon on all the workstations here (50) Rather then going around to each desk
I am sure that this can be done via AD we have just the basic AD install and all accounts are located in the domain users group. Can I do this and what would be the most time efficant way.
