Can someone tell me how it's possible for a 10 digit number dialed with a feature access code (9) to be placed out a trunk only to be changed/forwarded to a totally diffrent number.
Here's the scenerio:
412 is our local area code
From in the our office I dial 9,412-490-6714 whcih should be a disconnected number but in turn get a residential home 412-882-xxxx. Off the network, out of the office on my cell I dial 412-490-6714 and get the disconnected message, which is expected since our company disconnect this number yesterday.
When I run a trace on the st that I dial from I see the calling party, the setup of the digits (which are correct) and goign out the trunk, but somewhere along the way the number is being changed/forwarded to the 412-882-xxxx.
The LEC as well as other PBX Administrators are telling me it's something on teh PBX, but what? They don't know either where to look. Is this a problem on my PBX or is it a translation problem in teh LEC DB? The LEC denies the problem lies with them. Any ideas? Should th type for local calls be HNPA instead of NATL? If so what bearing does it have on just this one number. All other 412 number behave as they should.
Thanks for any help!
