Sendmail is failing due to my new ISP requiring SMTP authentication for relaying. I am using Suse 8 and see no provision for this in YAST2. Can someone tell me how to configure this?

TIA,

Got it figured out. Thanks anyway.

Can you share your solution?

Solution here was editing the sendmail auth-info file to include a line like this:

AuthInfo:smtp.mydomain.net "U:user" "P=password"

After editing the file you must rehash the file- mine in Suse was as follows:

makemap hash /etc/mail/auth/auth-info < /etc/mail/auth/auth-info

Hope this helps...
