I just got a new HS+Fan for my AMD Athlon 1.2GHz (200MHz FSB).
It was HUGE when i opened the box - twice as big as my current one! It fitted..just. It is almost literrally resting against the PSU. This means that the CPU temp (according to "SpeedFan"
is now about 5oC hotter.
HOWEVER, it doesn't crash anymore after being at near full load for a few minutes. I think this is because it has much better airflow than my previous one (31.5cfm).
I am very pleased it doesn't crash anymore (and it's MUCH quiter too
)
BUT, is 65oC safe for 100% load when playing a graphics-heavy game?
