Just built a PC on a Chaintech 7AJA/100 w/Athlon 900 socket A, 2x256 PC133, Radeon VE, 300w PSU.

When I plug in the power and press the power switch, the power on and HDD lights flash when i RELEASE the button, but NOTHING HAPPENS.

I've checked ALL connections and especially the button/LED connectors and they all seem fine!

These are all new parts, does anyone know what's wrong?

Something may be crowbaring the power supply. My touchy point is the floppy connector being off 1 pin since it is easy to do.
Pull all power connectors except the M/B and see if it will power up by itself. If so , then add back in one at a time to pinpoint the problem.
Sometimes the power switch operating mech won't stay detented and the power falls back to off. Good firm depression might detent it. Ed Fair

OH MY GOD! YOU ARE THE MAN!

Checked out floppy connector. Out by one pin. Moved it. Started first time.

If we weren't both men, I'd have your babies.

THANK YOU!

Cuodos edfair you beat me to the punch, I'll never forget the first time I was stummped by that one...took me 2 hours to figure it out, but I never forgot it. GMTA (Great....Alike)
