I've made a few tables using the wizard, and made a form the same way. the form contains a couple of text boxes and a few combo boxes. the form the wizard made is visible only in design mode. it just opens a blank form in form view. properties are set to visible always and I think the rest of the settings are right... any ideas what could be wrong?

Possibly there is no record in the table used as the recordsource of the form and the "Allow Addition" property of the form is set "False."

Check out the "Allow Addition" property of the form or add some records into the table.

Hope that helps.

checked them both and no luck. in the form view, there's nothing but a gray form. no text boxes, combo's, words of any type and the record selector is shaded out too.

Is this the only form you currently have??? If you have other forms, are they appearing correctly????

As always, make a backup before trying something new!

Try making a new form (test) using the wizzard but don't make any changes to any of the properties. By default, you should be able to see the form in the design and form view. If the form you are referring to is the only one where this problem occurs, then it is possible that the form became corrupt.

hi, I already tried that a couple times. I think I'm doing something wrong. I can create a form that looks and works just fine using 'design view', but when I use the wizard the form is blank. I've also tried it on another machine creating just a quick test form and get the same results. the only thing I,ve done different w/ these forms is to try the 'look up wizard' option in table design view.(to add combo boxes).
