I installed a new hard drive in a laptop.
When I turn the laptop on and go into the bios, the drive size is listed as "0 mb"

I have tripled checked that I have the cable connected and the jumpers set correctly. But, it is still not detecting the drive.

Any suggestions?

What are the specs on the drive and laptop? It could be that the system can't recognize that drive. You may want to see if there's an update for your BIOS.

I do have a bios upgrade, but it won't boot from the diskette.

I have tried several Win95 start disks, that I know are good and I get a message "booting from removable media..."
and then nothing more. It just hangs.

Model number and serial number on the laptop would be helpful.Specs on the new hard drive, too.
