We have an Opt 81C, and we just added a new group of DID numbers..Our original range is from 4001-4199, we've just added 6100-6399 and 6600-6699. Is there any configuration that needs to be added/changed in CDB, or RDB, or anywhere else?

Thanks

No if you are being sent 4 digits from the CO (most cases) if you look at your IDC table in ld 49 and it doesnt have much in there you are okay.

As long as those numbers are not currently being used for something else in your PBX, you're good to go.

Go to LD 20:

REQ: PRT
TYPE: LUDN
CUST 0
DN 6

You'll get a printout of unused numbers. You'll want to see 61, 62, 63, and 66 (or just 6) on this printout.

darn a guy has to be quick to get a word in around here.. all three post are right.. think of a did as a simple analog station calling from next door.. the switch see's 4 digits from a pri the same way it see's 4 digits from an analog station.. few screws to turn if it's your 1st did range.. and like john said, ld 49 prt idc to check that but in most cases we get numbers we can use.. dial xxx-1000 to get station 1000.. in a few switches i've worked on xxx-1000 would get dn 3000.. that's an idc.. internal number plan does not match external..

Wow....Thanks guys!!!I'll check first thing in the AM tomorrow.

Thanks All!!

Hey Guys....I neglected to mention that the prefix is different. The original range is 339-4000 to 4199, and the new range is 323-6100 to 6399 and 6600 to 6699. The Area code (212) is the same...

Thanks

It won't matter if you are just getting the last 4 anyway, the PBX doesnt see the other numbers.

It will make a difference when you dial out unless you only send the main number and not the phones DID ext number.
