our company's main # is a POTS line that was ported over T1. Along with T1 we got a new range of DIDs, one of which we'd like to use as our published main #. We are still going to keep the other number as well. Right now all my unassigned DIDs go to attendant anyway so technically it works fine now but to prevent anyone from going in and mistakenly taking this one DID and using it for something else what should I do? can i do something as simple as making this one DID a dummy ACD DN to NCFW to current ATDN? Or it this more complicated now that I'm going to use this one DID as my published main #? Thanks for your help.

thank you. I am glad to hear I can get away with just doing that.

If you are using an IDC table then you can put 0 as the target DN for that number.

using idc will leave that number in the vacant dn table, so do both or just make the did you ldn, that takes it to the att and follows night. if you do use idc tables, make a new table for nights, when the att goes into nites the second idc will send that did to the right person

but do I need to use an IDC table or can I just make it a dummy ACD DN?

the maxp 1 acd will be all that you need, that does both the removal from the ludn table and the reroute
