I just created a new access database but I used Access 2002 and not the server software of Access. I need to put this database that I already have in Access on the server. Are there things I should know or can I buy a server copy of Access and use my tables, forms, queries and reports that I have aready created.

In other words, are there references or other information I need to know for my database to work on a server.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Might want to look into SQL 2000 for the functionallity, and just use access as a front end for users to use. Glen A. Johnson

Thank you Mr. Johnson for your answer so promptly. I am new at servers although I am fairly new to access. What do you mean by front end. I've seen this several times and will it be best than buying a server copy of Access for all users or would I have to buy separate copies.

Thank you.

To be honest, I've never done this. We have a consultant that does this for us. I know servers, not programming. I can use MS Access, but it only holds so many records. SQL holds tons more. Anybody out there know how it's done and help divinedar0956? I think there is an access and sql forum also, you might check there. Good luck. Glen A. Johnson
