New connection options greyed out

Hi, I have a windows xp pro box, which I upgraded from win2000. However now when I want to create a new dialup connection or vpn connection the options are greyed out? ANyone have any ideas how to resolve this issue?

It sounds as if you need to re-apply Service Pack #1. This should sort the problem, but I will make other suggestions too:

Re-apply Service Pack 1 from Microsoft.

Are you in Administrator mode, or user mode. You have to be an admin, I believe.
