Hi,
I've just bought a new computer with no operating system on it. All the hardware has been put in by the shop and I thought it would be easy to install the system how wrong I was. When I turn the machine on it goes through all the checks and end's up at PCI device listing then the message
"Non-system disk or disk error" appears. I have all the disks plus a floppy HOT ROD 100 PRO-driver disk. Could anyone help me to get up and running *Please*
Eternally Grateful

Well if you have a Win98 CD, go into the BIOS and change your first boot device to ATPI (or something like that) CDrom, because if your Win98 CDrom is bootable(which it may likely be) you may be able to install it from your CDrom, but better yet to run fdisk, create a partition, format the hdd, copy the contents of the win98 files over to the C drive under something like C:\win98setup

because they're weird instances, where you install from a cdrom, then when it boots the second time, and ask for some files off your CDrom, it didnt even load the CDrom drivers the second time, so thats why it's usally best to run setup off your hdd, also good because you wont have to put in your Cdrom later.

need more information about the steps above? just ask
