Hi everyone.
I just connected a new set of speakers to my Creative 5.1 sound card. The speakers are Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers. So far the speakers sound great. However, it only seems to be putting sound out of the 2 main speakers and the sub. I've gone into the control panel and changed my speaker setup to 5.1 but it still sounds the same. Whether listening to music or watching movies I just can't hear anything coming out of the center channel or rear surrounds. Any ideas?

Do you mean is the DVD movie set to 5.1 surround? Yes. Is there a utility you can download or some way to adjust the levels for the speakers?

Usually there's a set of utilities and demo stuff that comes with the Creative cards to test the speaker outputs nd make sure that they are setup correctly. (like: is the second set connected at the right place) If you don't have your CD, go see the Creative web site.

Yea, Felix was right. Last night I put the cd in and was able to load the utilities I needed. There was a setting to change the card from 2.1 to 5.1. For some reason without that utility loaded it wouldn't change the setting.
