Networking windows me and 98 together

Hello group,

Maybe someone here can help me. I am trying to network 2 machines together. One has Windows ME and the other has Windows 98 SE. I show them both on the network and have the hardrives set to be shared. I can see both through the network but when I go to access the harddrives it tells me they are not accessible. Any ideas?

How are you networking - TCP/IP or Netbeui?? Use the Netbeui protocol on both systems..
