I have 2 computers in my house that are both connected to an RCA router (cheapo I know) which is connected to the internet. When you open Network Neighborhood the computers don't always see each other (yes, both computers are on) and rarely can you access shared files from one computer. One computer is a Pentium II with 320 MB RAM and the other is a Pentium III with 128 MB RAM. Both are running Windows 98 SE. Frequently, when Network Neighborhood is opened, the computer can't even find itself on the network until it has searched for around 15 minutes. Or if you click on the other computer on the network, the computer freezes and usually has to be restarted. Both are configured for file sharing and remote administration, and both use Client for Microsoft Networks. Is this a router problem, or a software problem and how do I fix it? I would appreciate greatly any help.
