The web development company, X International, that develops and supports customer web sites located in Victoria and now require these services across Australia as they expand their interests and set up offices on the Eastern seaboard of Australia:

Ø Canberra (5 staff) and
Ø Melbourne head office (20 staff).
This company needs high speed access to the Internet and good connection between computers so they can continue to share their work on projects they are involved in.
They currently have the latest Macs for their graphic development and IBM computers for their programming work and have been using a 'sneaker-net'. The applications they currently use are PhotoShop, Acrobat 3, Java and Flash 4. The hardware they currently have consists of high resolution screens and 10 GB memory on their hard disks with no communication between them, just connection to the Internet through a small ISP.
The company requires a network to be set up with a Web server, database server running SQL and links to a hypermedia databases, and gateways/firewalls for security. They also require more multimedia software such as CGI scripting, ActiveX, ASP, and Macromedia products amongst others.
The recommendations proposed should be based on the company's needs for this multimedia communications network system that provides flexibility, reliability and expandability as well as being economically sound. Please keep in mind that the company would like the implementation to be achieved with the least amount of inconvenience to its staff and current clients.
The report must have:
(i) Your investigation on the assumptions you have made on the current computer network situation within the company .
