Networking my Computers.

I have a Performa 6200 and an iBook G3 500. Whenever I turn file sharing on the iBook it sort of stalls out. It does "starting up File Sharing" and doesnt actually start up. I am just using a crossover cable.

When I tried to use a cross over I had to start up mac A, which did not start any ethernet cause it had no link, then start mac B which found Mac A ok, then restart Mac A which found MacB now.

the 6200 will set Aplletalk to the Modem port and have to reset it to Ethernet.

I have not used an Iook to know if Appletalk changes on it

I bought a hub on ebay for a buck, and paid $!0 shipping, fixed me up. I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
