Networking a Norstar

Nortel Norstar MICS XL 6.1
to an AVAYA G3siv11

Has anyone networked the two together, what features if any or transparencies will the network show. I.e. caller ID information. Primarily wanting 4 digit dialing.
What problems did you encounter?
Would you recommend doing this?

Networking diff manufacturer's system is always done - but there is very little feature transparency. ('cos each one does their own thing their own way)

QSIG gives a common set of features - but Norstar doesnt have QSIG (as far as i know in teh NA market)
