My networker (7.2.1/Win2k3) server is operating fine except that the group containing my networker server fails trying to back itself up.

The error message says: SYSTEM error: can't create index directory for colient "name of clinet"

I've looked at the indexes and there is a dir for that client created, and all others work fine.

Now I also get a constant error message that diskspace is low on the index drive, but there is over 80gig avail, not sure on that one either?

My question is, I would like to remove my server as a client and re-add it. Can I do that or will it cause problems?

Simply
- shutdown NetWorker
- delete the client's directory
- restart NetWorker
- run "nsrck -L7 servername"

Look at your server and provide the media, if requested. This should do the job.

I tried that to no avail. when I ran the nsrck it tries to create the index on the D:\ drive. This is my cdrom.... I'm sure this is a carry over from when we moved servers. This is the only client that is having this problem.

How might I change this?

Ah - you moved the NW server - at least to another directory. Sometimes missing info becomes important.

In the client's resource activate the Hidden Attributes.
Then in the Globals (2 of 2) tab specify the proper "Index path" and retry the operation.

Correct you are. This was strange though, because I had two clients for this server, I was using only one and on that one the field on the index tab was blank.
It was only on the client that I wasn't using that this tab contained the incorrect data. I assume that this is due to them having the same client id and carrying over from one to the other.

Thank you again!
