Hi,
If I have a tape library with 50 slots, and license for 20 slots, what will happen?
Would I be able to use the library at all?
Shall only the first 20 slots be usefull (familiar to Legato)?

Thanks, Anat

Hello,

in this case, NW will just show you the 20 first slots, but the jukebox will be functional !

I dont know about your jukebox, but normally networker stops using the jukebox if there are more slots reported than licensed.
In older Networker releases you can edit the res-file of the jukebox resource manually to set only the licensed slots.
This is not possible since 7.4 (maybe since 7.3.x i di not test it with those releases).
Dependeing on your jukebox you can disable some slots.
For example with an Overland NEO2000 (30 Slots) you can disable up to 29 Slots so every jukebox license will work.
The NEO4048 of the same manufacturer allows a maximum af 12 disabled slots so you need at least 40 Slot Networker license to operate this jukebox.
Ask your hardware vendor !

If you have installed the enabler and you still must configure your jukebox, i am pretty sure that NW will refuse to do that.

I have done it more than once :
after you change the configuration of the jukebox you have to delete the jukebox object in networker and create it again with jbconfig.
