The data on my DOS application becomes corrupted whenever two W2K machines try to write data. Don't have this problem with multiple W98 machines, or with multiple W98 machines and one W2K machine. Because it keeps on working,
doesn't make it right.

What I have found is: The W2KPro computer when opening a dos file, seems to load the dbf and ndx files into somekind of holding area (cache). When closing the file, W2KPro will put the information back on the server. This overwrites any changes placed there by other users. With two Win2K users they randomly overwrite each others work. With a Win2k and Win98 mix the Win98 users will lose their changes.

I assume that there is a setting in Win2KPro that will stop it from doing this. I would appreciate any help or hints.

David Clarke.
