Has anyone ever heard of a network recycle bin. I was wondering if there's a way when someone delets a file by accident from a network share it go to a network recycle bin. B/C right now it just disappers and i hav to restore that file from backup. It is nowhere to be found.
!!!!!!!!!!!!HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!

Well as standard this isnt supported on Win2k, not that i know of anyway, What i got was a copy of Undelete 2 from executive software, this does what your asking and to be honest is a godsend, u just navigate to the bin find the file and click and its back.

hope this helps

Being able to undelete files from a network drive doesn't comply with C2 security (I believe it's C2) which is why it is not included with any Microsoft NOS.

The best way to accomplish this task is to do just what you did, restore from a backup.
