I need help...I have a database that "feeds" off of an Excel document. Now the database works fine when I have it on my computer with my excel document in the same folder. But when I move it to the network (with it still linked) it brings up a message (when I try to open a report) that says that it doesn't have a source to display information. I put both the excel and the database together in the same folder on the network and the problem still showed up. I then moved them back to my computer and it worked again. Can someone please help me? Tejanorey

I am in my answer assuming you are using access 2000.

Place the files where you want them.

With the database loaded
select on the menu tools > Database Utilitys > Linked table manager

Select your excell link.

Tick the Always prompt for new location box.
Click OK
It will then allow you to browse to point it at the new location.

Hope this helps.

Mellors, thanks it works great! Tejanorey
