Hi all, can you suggest a free tool for monitoring the newtork in my Xp Pro?

Use perfmon (just type from start menu). You can add an awful lot of thigns to monitor to this.

Worth a look: MRTG

It will allow you to view bandwidth use across a connection using the SNMP interface. I have found it very useful in the past.

XP includes Netcap.exe, its XP Network Monitor, on the XP CD under Support\Tools.
