I'm trying to setup two Compaq dl360 servers into a Windows 2000 cluster to run DNS, DHCP and ISA server. Do you have to have a separate SCSI channel (not boot partition) in order to run the cluster service? Can I run the Network Load Balance without running the cluster service?

Thanks for you help,

Steve

You should either use the Microsoft Clustering Service or NLB. Not both. Yes, you can run NLB without MSCS, and without needing any shared storage. All of the applications you listed could work in an NLB environment, although it's best for web and com load balancing. If you are using MSCS and not NLB, what are you using for your shared storage?
