is there any way in windows xp to determine previous network connection history? I'm currently at work, and I just tried remoting home but my IP address has changed and so my website (which is running off my computer at home) has the old IP in the A record and will not work either. However, I have my laptop with me at work and I used it last night to connect at home (I believe that the IP address had changed before then). It has Windows XP Home on it and I need to know if I can determine the new IP address using it.

Im not totaly following what it is that you need this for but I think that its so that you can remote logon to your home pc from work and because you have a dynamic ip it might change and stop you from doing it?

If thats a correct assumption I would install some kind of dynamic dns software that will let you create a fixed name like for instance

wagnj1.dyndns.com

You will have a piece of software on your machine that will update this dns name when your ip changes that way all you need to do is point your remote control software to the dns name.

There is a bunch of free service that will let you do this, dyndns used to be a good one but I haven't used this for AGES.
