During the last two or three weeks, my Novell 4.11 server
closed down during the night, after the backup which is
scheduled for 8PM and finishes around 11:30PM. I called
Dell, the server is only 1 year old, and they told me to do a
"diag" on the hardware. This checked out OK. I also did a
virus scan on the network and this also checked out OK.
A couple of the messages were "Error writing console.log"
because the file size was exceeded. The only thing I
noticed was that there are 6 "VR00000#.FIL" files on Vol
Sys which were not there before and they contain garbage.
Do these files write to the console.log?
