I need some price quotes on a network job I need to do for a Doctors office. The network will consist of 1 Dell 2 Hard drive mirrored Windows 2003 server and 4 Win Xp pro workstations hooked up to a pre-wired 8 port switch that will need to be routed from a D-link VPN/Firewall. I will install active directory services and create about 5 users limiting a few to different folders. I will share folders and one network ready printer. E-mail will also need to be setup on the workstations from a 3rd party host. The server will also need to be configured to a UPS for battery back up and will need Veritas backup software installed and configured for nightly backups. There will also be some data migration of about 500 mbs moved from a legacy system into this new domain. I want an AD policy to automatically map the drives and printers per user name. This design should also be tested, documented to some extent and a few hours for routine activities such as account creation and new shared folders. The workstation will also need QuickBooks installed and pointed to the server for the data file. Workstations also need updates and anti-virus configured and updated on a scheduled time. This is a pretty simple job in my eyes but I need to some other opinions on what somebody would charge for a setup like this? This shouldn’t include any additional support just a one time setup fee and no hardware just labor. How many hours do you think this would take someone if they knew what they were doing and how much would you charge someone for a network like this? Thanks a lot!
