Hey there
I have a small network with 3 win2000 machines on them. My boss got a new digital camera - a sony T3 - and I installed the drivers onto two of the machines. I noticed that on the 2 machines I installed the drivers that my network connections had disappeared BUT the network was still working. My dial up net connections had also disappeared and I cant connect to the internet. I tried making a new connection but this had no effect - however I tried giving this new connection the same name as the connection that disappeared but windows told me tbere was already an existing connection with that name! Also the device manager is completely empty and not showing any devices.
I dont think I have a virus - my virus scanner (avg) didnt find anything so I think it is in someway related to the driver as it is only affecting the 2 machines with the driver installed. I couldnt findy anything helpful on the sony website. I tried uninstalling the driver through the add/remove software panel and that had no effect.
Any idea what I may have done and how I can correct it?
